grumps.
i think angry people are funny. i always have. some of the funniest people i’ve ever met have been the angriest. what’s funny about anger is that you’ve basically got somebody saying, screaming, or shouting ”i want the biscuit!” however, the irony is, their behaviour is guaranteed to keep them many kilometres away from the nearest available...
lunch.
well, today, it was lunch time, so it was time for another grilled cheese… since i only had one grilled cheese size portion of brie cheese left in my fridge, a vigil of sorts was necessary. to treat this last portion of cheese with the respect it deserves, a special grilled cheese was in order, one which ingredients would love to be draped in gooey brie.
Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Brie...
A+
this weekend i learnt one of the best lessons i’ve learnt in a long time. no matter where you are, or who you’re with, only ever hang around people that are positive and make you feel good. i’m not talking about feel good through back tickles or lunches and nice clothes, i’m talking make you, the person you are, feel like the good person you are. anybody who doesn’t make...
foundations.
i keep telling myself things such as “well, if it didn’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be” as if it actually means something. “don’t worry kels, if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be”. i think you can say something like that so blithely because you expect to stumble onto something else just as wonderful just around the next corner. you’ve...
Colorgenics.
okay, so this whole colorgenics thing is unbelievably accurate. i did the quiz, and they figured everything out. this isn’t like horoscopes where you can always find a way to apply yourself to the wisdom. this is accurate. this is crazy.
“You are seeking an affectionate relationship, offering fulfilment and happiness. You are capable of powerful emotional enthusiasm. Deep down,...
This book is great.
among those whom i really really really like or admire, i can find no common denominator, you’re all so different, but among those whom i love, i can, all of you make me laugh. mind you, i was about half in love with you by the time we sat down. that’s the thing about men, every time they do something sincere… you fall half in love with them, and then you never know where the hell you are....
ZING
things you should do more often
1. holding doors open for other people — not, out of your way in your face — just “i see you there three seconds behind me, and i’m going to open this wide enough that it doesn’t shut at the exact moment you reach it.”
2. responding when someone in a service position says “have a good day!” or thanks you for something — and not just a one word response, either. give them something genuine....
you're good.
i love you. and not in a friendly way, although i think we’re great friends, bestfriends even. and not in a misplaced affection, puppy-dog way, although i’m sure that’s what you’ll call it. and it’s not because you’re unattainable. i love you. very simple, very truly. you’re the epitome of every attribute and quality ive ever looked for in another person, in my 20 years of looking.
blackball false, truth !
you have no idea how tickled i am that this song exists, everyone.
something is happening something is changing she used to be static but now she’s gone crazy and i think she likes it she stopped pretending that he wasn’t perfect but she doesn’t know that he’s only just looking for someone else she colored her hair and i guess i was there but when she finally got good i was half out the door...
