i keep telling myself things such as “well, if it didn’t work out, it wasn’t meant to be” as if it actually means something. “don’t worry kels, if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be”. i think you can say something like that so blithely because you expect to stumble onto something else just as wonderful just around the next corner. you’ve been around the block, so you have no troubles moving on to the next thing. i’m yet to go around that block. but what i don’t think you see is, people are rare, and very unique things and just because everyone sort of lives a life full of farewells, it doesn’t mean you can’t realise what it actually means to say goodbye to someone.  just because i will survive, and i will get over it, doesn’t mean i should necessarily let it go. letting go is an easy way out.
